  This is the military history of the th Regimental Combat Team. As a component of the "fighting 45th" Infantry Division, its story is a revealing one. Through its history can be seen a major portion of the Sicilian and Italian Campaigns, much of the French and German Campaigns -- in other words, the war in Europe. Through its history weave the gallantries of the men who made the Regiment. Shortly thereafter, hostilities broke out at the Detroit/Sandwich border and the th Regiment of Foot was called to arms.
